Ziv Zamechek

Personal Experience & Biography

My name is Ziv Zamechek and I am a counseling intern with experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of mental health and personal growth settings. My areas of interest include ADHD, addiction and alcoholism recovery, emotional regulation, stress management, sleep-related concerns, self-esteem, and personal development. Through my internship at Guardian Recovery, I facilitated psychoeducational groups focused on addiction recovery, relapse prevention, coping skills, and behavioral change while working under clinical supervision. My approach emphasizes empathy, active listening, and creating a supportive environment where clients feel heard and empowered.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and client-centered rooted in evidence-based practices while honoring your unique story. I believe that healing and growth happen through authentic connection and self-discovery, and I’m here to walk alongside you on that journey

In addition to my counseling experience, I have worked with Yachad and Friendship Circle, supporting teens and adults with disabilities in developing social skills, emotional awareness, and healthy relationships. As a Mindfulness and Breathwork Guide and NLP techniques, I help individuals improve focus, manage stress, build confidence, and work toward meaningful personal goals. I am passionate about helping people better understand themselves, overcome challenges, and develop practical tools for lasting emotional well being.

A typical session with me would feel like a conversation. It would be as formal or informal that both the client and content discussed deserve. I utilize different techniques, but mostly a CBT focused approach with other modalities involved if necessary. The goal of my sessions is to create an environment in which any content can be discussed without fear of judgment, and with the knowledge that they are in a safe and nurturing environment.

I am looking forward to meeting you!
