Steve received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and his MSW with honors from the Fordham Graduate School of Social Service. He brings 13 years of psychotherapy experience including several in substance abuse treatment — acquired within intensive, long-term residential; out-patient; and 28-Day rehab; as well as nursing and physical rehab settings – and since the pandemic, virtual or remote “tele-health” via Zoom, doxy.me, Simple Practice, et. al. Steve has vast experience providing treatment to a diverse clientele including males and females from all races, ethnicities, LBGTQ, including late teens to geriatric. He has vast experience treating clients mandated to treatment by the Criminal Justice System and Social Service Agencies.
Steve utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Psycho-Analytical modalities with the intention of fostering the possibility of his clients’ gaining insight into their behaviors with the hope and expectation that situations and problems with which they have been struggling can clear up. Steve has been a long-term member of the Addictions Committee of the NYC Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. He also brings expertise in Tobacco/Nicotine Awareness to benefit those seeking or willing to consider cessation.
