Personal Experience & Biography

Hi, I’m Odelia Abdolazadeh and I’m glad that you’re here!
Therapy can seem like a big and nerve-wracking endeavor, especially when you’re doing it with a stranger, so let me try to make it a little more comfortable- here’s a little bit about me.

Social work has been a passion of mine for long before I can remember. Throughout my life, I’ve always found myself gravitating towards a connective role, whether that was teaching, being a counselor, working with clients in my previous internships, or pursuing this career. Different stages of my life also helped me understand the importance of good support and good therapy, and so I decided to take my passion for people and connection and dedicate my life to it. I’ll be receiving my Masters from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in Spring 2025 and I feel excited to embark on this journey that I have been working towards for so long.

I find people to be layered and complex, but in search of the same few things at our core. Building up our self-esteem and our identity, cultivating meaningful relationships, and actualizing our potential and purpose in this world all help us work towards creating the harmony that we all seek. The obstacles in the way can seem daunting and make that harmony seem out-of-reach. This is where we come in, but only because you made the brave decision to get the support that you need, so kudos to you!

My approach has always been holistic because I believe that all the different aspects of our lives somehow affect the others. Through exploring our vulnerable selves and gaining deeper insight into our challenges, and focusing on the strengths we bring to the table, my goal is to create a work together to create a personalized plan that is well-rounded, strengths-based, and manageable in order to help you work through your challenges and come out feeling empowered, developed, and ready to take on the world. When we find healing and start the journey of growth and recovery, the light slowly bleeds into all the different areas of our lives and slowly but surely everything feels like it will be okay…

Please reach out with any questions should you want any more information and it would be my pleasure to try to answer them 🙂
