About Me

Madison is currently completing her Master’s degree in Social Work at The University of Texas at Arlington, specializing in Mental Health and Substance Misuse, and is providing psychotherapy under direct clinical supervision. Upon graduation, she intends to pursue her licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). Madison operates under a strengths-based perspective and works with a biopsychosocial framework and psychodynamic framework, and employs a variety of techniques including client-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and emotion-focused therapy (EFT). Stress management and knowledge about how stress impacts physiological functioning and mental health is a strength and passion of hers, and she enjoys discussing ways to positively impact mental health by reducing stress.

Carl Rogers once said that first we must accept ourselves, then we can change. I want to help clients see who they are and accept themselves first so that they might find healing, starting with the strengths within. I am a dedicated and caring person who believes that clients are the experts in their situation, and I have the opportunity to learn about their experience and walk alongside them on their journey.
