Hi, I’m Teisha Fooks, a licensed clinical social worker providing individual and family therapy for children ages 10 and up, teens, and adults. I’m passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone feels seen, respected, and free to be their authentic selves.
I start therapy by getting a clear sense of what you’re going through, then we work together to find meaningful steps toward growth and a more fulfilling life. For me, it’s important that therapy is a space where you feel comfortable and supported.
I hold a Master of Social Work from Delaware State University and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Southern Utah University. I have many years of experience working in schools, community programs, and clinical settings. I became a therapist because I’ve seen firsthand how powerful therapy can be in transforming lives, including my own and my family’s. That experience inspires me every day to walk alongside others as they face challenges, heal, and build resilience. I’m trained in EMDR, CBT, DBT, trauma-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches, which I adapt to meet each person’s unique needs.
I know therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I collaborate closely with my clients and provide compassionate support tailored to where they are in their journey. I can help with anxiety, sadness, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, Autism, and identity exploration.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy camping and spending time in nature with my husband and our three boys. We also share our home with a dog and two cats, who bring joy and warmth to our family life.
If you’re seeking a safe, supportive space to explore your challenges and grow, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
